Consultation Event
Cambridgeshire County Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Kier Construction to support the design and construction of Deneia Primary Academy, a new 3 Form of Entry (630 place) primary school and 78 place early years provision to serve Waterbeach’s new community.
The Council and its project team have been working closely with Anglian Learning, who will operate the school, and key stakeholders including the Master Developer, Urban & Civic, to develop bespoke proposals that respond to the school’s vision for teaching and learning.
Feedback on Proposals
Following this collaborative engagement, the team now feel ready to share the emerging design work with key stakeholders within the community, including children, parents and residents who will use the school and the facilities within it. This is an exciting time for the project team and the wider community, and we would very much welcome your views on the emerging plans.
Feedback received will help shape the continued development of the scheme ahead of submission of a formal planning application which is currently scheduled for June 2025. The proposals will be available online and at a drop in event which will be held at the Waterbeach Barracks Community Room.
To view the proposals online, please visit www.deneiaprimary.org from 12 March. You will find a link to the proposals on the school homepage. Please email any feedback you may have to DPA@Kier.co.uk. The closing date for online responses is 26th March 2025. This will allow time for views to be considered in advance of any planning submission. Postal feedback can be sent to:
